I did also browse your blog including this wonderful and rare awakening story - I just feel that you girls know exactly what you are talking about. That this is real to you as much as it is for me. And that I found maybe a new community into I can blend. Meanwhile I've ordered the book you've suggested "Wisdom of the Ages" ( by George A. You know I find it so peculiar that having grown up with the Bible and with people around me who took it very seriously - so many are not seeing and not hearing the words. It is exactly as the passage says. Your words recalled a memory from almost 40 years ago: "I was sitting on the ground leaning against a tree, being simply quiet in both mind and body. It was a cold winter day but the sun was out strong and the sky was blue and there was no snow on the ground. A realization hit me and entered every pore of my being, such that I didn‘t even want to breathe, wanting to capture the feeling forever: in a single moment I suddenly knew — not metaphorically, but absolutely, that I and all that I could see around me were part of one great reality; that any evidence of physical separation was merely illusion. I knew that I and the tree were one, there was no such thing as separation and there was nothing not alive. This was a startling realization, one I hadn‘t looked for; it just came, and as quickly faded away. I knew then that time and space are illusions. From then on I deeply craved an awareness of my connection to nature."
